Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

We're looking for a creative, hands-on Senior Product Designer to drive new products from concept to production — sketching, 3D modelling, and coordinating closely with mould makers and management to deliver innovative, commercially viable designs.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop new products end-to-end, from concept and ideation through to production — including concept sketches, 3D models, renders, and detailed technical drawings.

Create innovative, functional, and market-relevant product solutions that are both commercially viable and manufacturable at scale.

Coordinate closely with mould makers, tool rooms, vendors, and production teams throughout the product development cycle, from tooling design through to trial runs.

Discuss product feasibility, costing, manufacturing challenges, and improvement opportunities directly with management.

Take ownership of product development timelines, driving projects independently from concept to launch.

Conduct material, functionality, ergonomics, and manufacturing feasibility evaluations for every product under development.

Work cross-functionally with marketing, production, procurement, and quality teams to align product design with business and manufacturing needs.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to future product strategy and innovation pipelines.

Review prototypes, trial samples, and mould developments closely to ensure design accuracy, fit, and functionality before sign-off.

Proactively suggest design improvements and value engineering opportunities on existing products to improve cost, quality, or manufacturability.

Requirements

7–10 years in product/industrial design, ideally with plastics, moulded furniture, or consumer durables.

Degree/diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Strong knowledge of plastic moulding processes and mould-making coordination.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Rhino, Creo, or similar.

Solid grasp of product aesthetics, ergonomics, and engineering feasibility.

Independent decision-maker with strong communication and presentation skills.

Experience with injection moulding or blow moulding processes preferred.

What We Offer

End-to-end ownership of large-scale plastic furniture product launches.

Direct exposure to mould development and manufacturing processes.

Collaborative, growth-oriented environment with long-term career growth.
